The aftermarket specialists from McChip-DKR have officially introduced their new tuning program for the Mercedes-AMG GT.

If you happen to be the proud owner of a brand new Mercedes-AMG GT and you would like to upgrade your ride, perhaps you should take a look at what McChip-DKR has to offer. The tuning company is offering the Stage 1 package for both versions of the sports car which is bringing the optimized ECU. This may not sound like too much but it is bringing an extra oomph to the vehicle, increasing its performance compared to the standard ride.

“It is a matter of fact that the two brand new Mercedes models AMG GT and AMG GT S do not belong to the category of underpowered vehicles already ex factory. In spite, Danny Kubasik and his team have decided to offer for both variants of the vehicle (second after SLS developed by AMG itself) a power uprating”, said the tuner in its press release.

Thanks to the upgraded ECU, the 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine found under the hood of the AMG GT is now capable of putting down a total of 590 HP (434 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. This is allowing the sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph). The price for this upgrade stands at 1,899 euros and the program is also available for the C63 AMG and the C63 S AMG too.
