Mercedes has dropped an impressive amount of images with its newest sports car, the AMG GT.
Despite being smaller, lighter, less powerful and cheaper than its official predecessor, the SLS AMG, the new AMG GT is still one hot ride to own and in case you have forgotten all about it, the German based automaker is here to remind you as a huge photo gallery with the sports car has been released recently. The 2-door coupe vehicle, which is taking aim on models such as the Porsche 911 and the Jaguar F-Type, is coming with a front-mid engine and a rear-wheel drive layout and it has been introduced last year, going into production in Sindelfingen, Germany.
Mercedes is currently offering the AMG GT in two versions, both of them powered by the same 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine, which is also used on the new C63 AMG. The cheaper model, the AMG GT, is carrying a total output of 460 HP (340 kW) and 600 Nm (440 lb-ft) of torque, being capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds and to go up to a top speed of 304 km/h (189 mph). The more expensive AMG GT S is also more powerful as it is getting 503 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque. This needs 3.8 seconds in order to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill and it can go up to 310 km/h (190 mph).
