Mercedes-Benz has released a series of virtual films with the brand new AMG GT S which should promote the company’s newest sports car.
If you are using the Samsung Gear VR or you are a fan of the iTunes, than you should have no problem in finding the German based automaker’s newest films with the AMG GT S, as they have been filmed using 18 cameras mounted on rigs which have been custom built. In order to get the best out of the clips, the carmaker has asked Bernd Schneider, the DTM champion, to get behind the wheel and drive a few laps around the Laguna Seca.
The Mercedes-AMG GT has been officially unveiled this autumn. The model has replaced the SLS AMG despite being smaller, less powerful and cheaper than its predecessor. It will be going against vehicles such as the Porsche 911 or the Jaguar F-Type and it is getting a 4.0 liter biturbo engine under its hood, which is rated at 462 HP (339 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque, in standard form. On the AMG GT S, the unit is producing 510 HP (375 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque.
