While certain technical details are already known about Mercedes-AMG forthcoming Project One hypercar, the design is still almost anyone’s guess. But here’s a cool digital artist’ impression.
Mercedes-AMG is doing great at keeping up the hype for the Project One without actually revealing almost anything – unlike its parent company Mercedes who recently had its newest models spilled on the Internet in advance. The Formula-One inspired hypercar will become official this autumn during the September Frankfurt Motor Show – but here’s a spectacular rendering by artist Jan Peisert, and hopefully the real deal will be very close. And in case you were wondering how these digital artists create their projects, here’s also an explanation video below.
He didn’t start from scratch, as he used Mercedes-AMG’s official teasers and then uses a full blown variety of techniques for transforming those simple cues into believably spectacular designs. Anyways, from Mercedes-AMG chief Tobias Moers we already know the same powerplant from the W07 Hybrid Formula One Car will be in use – with the hybrid setup that includes a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 and an electric motor in all-wheel-drive configuration good for more than 1,000 horsepower.
