Mercedes-Benz is adding a fifth attractive SUV variant to its model portfolio, the GLA. As the fourth out of a total of five new compact models from Mercedes-Benz, the GLA is the first SUV to be optionally available with the new generation of the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system with fully variable torque distribution.
The compact SUV is now available for ordering with immediate effect, with the first models due to arrive at dealerships in March 2014. Prices in Germany start at €29,303.75 (incl. 19% VAT) for the GLA 200.

The entry-level model in the GLA range is the GLA 200 (€29,303.75) rated at 115 kW (156 hp). Positioned above this are the petrol engine variants rated at 155 kW (211 hp) GLA 250 (€35,283.50) and GLA 250 4MATIC (€37,496.90). The GLA 250 4MATIC sprints from zero to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds.
There are also two diesel offerings: the GLA 200 CDI (€32,130) with 100 kW (136 hp), and maximum torque of 300 Nm and has average fuel autonomy of 4.3 l/100 km. The GLA 200 CDI is also available as a 4MATIC model for €36,509.20. The GLA 220 CDI generates 125 kW (170 hp) and 350 Nm. It is priced at €37,038.75 for the front-wheel-drive model and €39,252.15 for the 4MATIC version.
