Mercedes-Benz A-Class police car by Brabus debuts in Essen
The German aftermarket specialists at Brabus have recently pulled the wraps off their latest creation, a police car inspired body kit for the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class in Essen.
The vehicle in question is actually the 8th specialty model from Tune it! Safe! At the 2012 Essen Motor Show and it has been designed to promote safe and responsible tuning. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class used is an A250 BlueEfficiency and the model is coming with a new front spoiler, a roof spoiler, a rear diffuser, four-tailpipe exhaust system, police livery, 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 2 tires and more. Interior changes include the roof-mounted light bar, the special floor mats and the alloy pedals.
The Mercedes-Benz A250 by Brabus is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is now producing a total output of 245 HP (180 kW) and it has a peak torque of 380 Nm (280 lb0ft). The model can now accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph). Fuel consumption stands at 6.1L/100km (46.3 mpg UK / 38.6 mpg US) and the CO2 emissions stop at 143 g/km of CO2.
