Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Edition 1 gets crashed in Israel image

Our Car Crashes category may be reserved for exotic vehicles but we couldn’t stand away from this particular hot hatch either.

The model pictured above is nothing more than a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG Edition one which has been involved in an unfortunate incident recently in Tel Aviv, Israel. According to the guys from Wrecked Exotics, the model in question has been crashed by a taxi which ran a red light. The crash happened at the Ramat Aviv junction and it left the hot hatch looking like this. Hopefully the insurance will cover the costs but, in the end, it does suck to be in the shoes of the taxi driver indeed.

The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is the carmaker’s answer to models such as the BMW M135i and the Audi RS3 Sportback. The model in question has been introduced a few years back and it has been slightly updated recently by the German based automaker, with the modified looks, different cabin and more powerful engine. The “older” A45 AMG is making use of the 2.0 liter twin turbo four-cylinder engine, which is capable of producing a total output of 355 HP (265 kW) and it has a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 4.6 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The facelift is increasing the power to 381 HP (280 kW) and 475 Nm (351 lb-ft) of torque.
