Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the official starting price of the A45 AMG in the United Kingdom, where the base model will set you back for 37, 845 GBP.
The cheapest version of the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG has been priced at 37, 845 GBP, in the United Kingdom, which is a lot of money for a hot hatch, even with its “premium wannabe” interior and Mercedes badges on its body. For an extra 1,530 GBP, the AMG Aerodynamics package can be yours too, which is adding the bigger front splitter, AMG rear aerofoil and some other tweaks. The AMG Performance Exhaust, with four chrome tailpipes, is available for an extra 510 GBP.
The most interesting part of the A45 AMG is found under its hood, where the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine is resting. When awaken, the unit will produce a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) at 6,000 rpm and it will have a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft), available between 2,250 rpm and 5,000 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 4.6 seconds in the A45 AMG and top speed has been electronically limited go 250 km/h (155 mph). The unit is mated to a Speedshift DCT seven-speed sports transmission, sending power to the 4MATIC system. The average fuel consumption stands at 6.9 L / 100 km (40,9 mpg UK / 34 mpg US) and CO2 emissions stop at 161 g/km.
