Mercedes-Benz has recently released the first official images and details with the all-new A45 AMG.
The high performance version of the new A-Class generation, the A45 AMG as it was named, is being placed into the spotlights for the first time in an official manner, with the German based automaker releasing the very first details and images with the future rival of the RS3. According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is getting a new chassis with 25 mm lowered suspension, upgraded brakes signed by AMG, 18-inch rims made by AMG with 19-inch in size available as an option and a sports exhaust system.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will get the 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, which is giving a whole new meaning to downsizing. The unit will produce a total output of 354 horsepower and it will have a peak torque of 450 Nm, mated to a seven-speed automatic double-clutch transmission, similar to the one used on the SLS AMG, which will send its power to the Haldex all-wheel drive system. The Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will be officially presented to the public at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show and the model will be available for order next spring.
