Mercedes-Benz AMG GT – new rendering

A brand new rendering with the upcoming sports car created by Mercedes-Benz, the AMG GT, has recently hit the web.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is ending up in our news once again, this time with the help of a new rendering, or two renderings, in this case. The images posted below are showing the model in a red shade, with its two-door coupe look and the long hood, inspired by the SLS AMG. The most significant details can be considered the doors which, in this rendering at least, they open backwards (suicide), but don’t get your hopes too high because chances are that the model will get classic doors.

The company is said to unveil the new AMG GT during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, this October, and the model in question will be coming as the official replacement of the SLS AMG. However, the AMG GT will be smaller, lighter, less powerful and cheaper than the SLS and its engine is expected to be a 4.0 liter V8 which, in the entry-level version at least, it will produce approximately 480 HP (358 kW). In the mid version, this will produce 520 HP (387 kW) while in the Black Series it will come with up to 580 HP.
