The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the AMG Sport range of high-performance vehicles.
Mercedes-Benz is getting ready to compete against the “S-Line” models signed by Audi with the brand new AMG Sport family. According to the car manufacturer, this will be filling the gap between the AMG Sports package for the vehicles and the already classic AMG lineup. Besides the Audi S-Line, it will also compete with the BMW M Performance range and it will be offered with upgraded engines, better brakes, special chassis components and standard all-wheel drive.
“The new Sport models represent a convincing proposition for our customers: genuine sports car technology becomes accessible, appealing to an even broader-ranging clientele worldwide. For all our dynamic growth, we remain true to our brand claim of Driving Performance”, said Tobias Moers, the AMG boss.
Mercedes-Benz is stating that the first two models of the brand new AMG Sport range will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, which will kick off in January. More details on the AMG range are limited at this time and will be announced during the automotive event scheduled to start in a couple of months.
