The brand new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested on public roads.
Mercedes-Benz has already unveiled the new generation of the C-Class and the company is currently working on an Estate version but also on a Cabrio, which should hit the market towards the end of the year. The model in question is a direct rival to the BMW 4-Series Cabrio and it has been caught on camera by our spy photographers. Rumors are saying that this will become the cheapest convertible Mercedes would offer, undercutting the price of the base SLK roadster.
When it will eventually hit the market, the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio will most likely get an engine lineup which will range between 333 HP (245 kW) and 238 HP (175 kW) for the petrol engines and between 116 HP (85 kW) and 204 HP (150 kW) for the diesel units, just like its four-door brother. It remains unknown whether the new C-Class Cabrio will get the same C300 BlueTEC Hybrid with 204 HP under its hood, or the C350 Hybrid Plug-In, which are currently found on the four-door C-Class. More details on the model are limited for the moment.
