Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio was confirmed for production image

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio has been recently confirmed for production by the German based automaker.

According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio will be a part of the company’s strategy to introduce 19 facelifted and redesigned models, along with 11 new vehicles, by 2020. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio will enter the market probably sooner than 2020 and the model will be a direct rival for the BMW 3-Series / 4-Series or for the Audi A5.

The Mercedes-Benz USA CEO, Steve Cannon, has confirmed the C-Class Cabrio and announced that the model is currently in the works and it will be offered for local sale. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio will become available over-seas for approximately 37,800 USD, which will be closer to the starting price of the C-Class Coupe. The price will pay a significant role in customers choosing the model, considering the fact that the cheapest convertible offered there is the E-Class Cabrio, which starts at close to 60,000 USD.

The launch of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabrio in the United States is aimed towards bringing new and younger customers into the brand. Besides the drop-top version of the C-Class, the production version of the CLA will also make its way onto the North American market, along with the S-Class Cabriolet, an electric version of the B-Class and the GLS Class, a rival for the BMW X6 based on the M-Class.
