The first renderings showing the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class in a Shooting Brake body style have hit the web.
Judging how the car segments are working these days, don’t act too surprised if you will see such a model in the dealerships nearby in the future. However, for now, the two images posted below are nothing more than simple renderings, put together by Theophilus Chin. The vehicle is bringing a three-door coupe body style, in the shooting brake version, and if you though that it’s similar looking to its larger brother, the CLS, or to the smaller CLA, you will be in for a surprise.
The front fascia has remained identical but the rear end has been changed. This include the updated taillights, the new bumper and the tailgate. The roofline is slightly lowered and the overall design is actually pretty weird but, hey, BMW does have the 3-Series GT, so why can’t Mercedes try something new? The newest version of the C-Class is the Coupe, which has been unveiled a few months back. This is bringing a similar design and it’s taking aim at the 4-Series, at the upcoming A5 and the ATS Coupe, amongst others. The model is offered in several versions, the C200, the C220d, the C250d and the C300. Range-topping versions include the C63 AMG and the C63 S AMG.
