A new report released by the German automotive media is giving us a clue on what power the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG might get.
Just last week, the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has announced its plans of introducing the AMG Sport lineup, which will be offered on most of its models, in order to allow them to compete with the S Line from Audi and with the M Performance vehicles from BMW. Despite officially announcing some details on these cars, the company didn’t release any performance specifications which left us wondering what sort of power they will be getting.
Now, thanks to a new report published by the guys from Auto Motor und Sport, we can find out that the new C450 AMG Sport will be coming with a 3.0 liter V6 engine under its hood, which will be producing a total output of 367 HP (270 kW). This basically means, if it will turn out to be true, that the model in question will be just 34 HP (25 kW) more powerful than the C400 but 109 HP (80 kW) less powerful than the range topper C63 AMG. Besides this, the AMG Sport models will also come with better brakes, standard AWD in certain markets, special chassis components and so on.
