Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce the so-called C450 AMG next year, during the next year’s 2015 NAIAS, in Detroit.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to fill the gap in its lineup between the current C400 and the C63 AMG, with a brand new C450 AMG, which should be getting several AMG items on it. The model in question hasn’t been announced officially just yet, but according to the guys from Automotive News, it will help the company expand its lineup and fill the gap between the C400 and the current range topper C63 AMG.
Our source is saying that the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C450 AMG will not be getting the full AMG treatment and in terms of styling it will be coming with several minor changes which will clearly show that it isn’t the C63 AMG but it also isn’t your average C-Class. The engine should be upgraded and offer it will not be offering the same performance as the true AMG models. A 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 is expected to be offered, with approximately 367 HP (274 kW). More details on the model in question are currently limited and will be announced during the 2015 Detroit Motor Show, in January.
