Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series sold out in Australia image

The most powerful C-Class from the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz, the C63 AMG Black Series, has been sold out in Australia.

According to the car manufacturer, the new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series has been announced in Australia on November 9, 2011, and the model should be delivered to its first customers in the Pacific starting from April, next year. But there’s a catch, the vehicle has been sold out, even if it isn’t what you can call cheap and the only thing going through my mind now is that Australians seem to know everything about cars.

“I can’t say I’m surprised but we’re certainly overwhelmed by the quick response. We’ll continue to work with AMG to secure more vehicles as not only have we sold out of our C63 AMG Coupe Black Series allocation, but we now have a wait list. At this stage we don’t know how many more we can secure, but I know the number of additional vehicles won’t be high due to global car demand”, said the Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars Sales general manager, Richard Emery.

As a reminder, the new Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series is powered by the “classic” 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine which is developing a total output of 517 horsepower at 6.800 rpm and has a peak torque of 457 lb-ft available at 5.000 rpm, mated to the seven-speed AMG Speedshift MCT sport automatic transmission which means that the gear changing in Sport+ and Manual models takes just one tenth of a second.
