The first renderings with the long wheelbase of the new CLA have recently made their way onto the web and they might provide us with a first look into the new body style of the model.
Chinese media has already announced Mercedes-Benz’s plans of developing a new body style of the CLA, a long wheelbase, which should make its way into production sometimes in 2015, but no one outside the company knew what the model will look like. That is until now because thanks to Theophilus Chin, we have gotten the chance to envision the model, with the help of a rendering. Our source is saying that approximately 5 inches have been added to the wheelbase and the rear doors are now longer.
Additional details on the model are limited for the moment but as a quick reminder, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is 56.6 inches tall, 182.3 inches long and 80.0 inches wide. The model is riding on the MFA platform and it was influenced by the new A-Class generation. The Mercedes-Benz CLA is coming with the Multimedia package with the COMMAND infotainment system and GPS navigation or the Premium package which is adding a Harman / Kardon audio system, black trim, silver accents, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and much more. The model has been unveiled during the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit.
