The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has officially confirmed for production the estate version of the elegant and small four-door coupe, the CLA.
After being rumored and then caught on camera numerous times by spy photographers across the Old Continent, the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake is finally recognized by the German based automaker. The model in question has been confirmed at the reveal of the facelifted CLS and CLS Shooting Brake and it will enter the company’s portfolio in 2015, becoming the fifth member of the new A-Class generation, after the A-Class hatchback, the CLA four-door, the GLA crossover and the B-Class MPV.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will be basically the same car as the four-door coupe, except for the rear end, which has become more practical. The model is drawing inspiration, once more, from its larger brother, the CLS Shooting Brake, but it will ride on the same platform as the CLA coupe. The vehicle will also share all of the components with the already available four-door coupe and this also means all the turbo four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, along with the manual transmission, the seven-speed dual clutch gearbox, the front-wheel drive or the 4MATIC all-wheel drive. Mode details on it will be announced close to its launch.
