The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to release a new model, which will be named the CLA Shooting Brake, and will hit the market sometimes in 2014.
With the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake being well received by the public at its launch, the company is planning to develop a smaller version, which will be named the CLA Shooting Brake. Even if there is no official word on the car manufacturer on the new Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake for the moment, the guys at autocar.co.uk are saying that the model will reach the UK showrooms in 2014 and it will be priced at around 28,000 pounds.
Our source is also saying that the Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake will be based on the company’s new MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform and the model model will get a wide range of four-cylinder direct injection petrol and common rail diesel engine with both front- and all-wheel drive. The Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake lineup will be “lead” by the CLA45 AMG Shooting brake, which will be powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, the same one which will be adopted by the A45 AMG hatch in 2013. The unit is said to deliver 330 BHP and 332 lb-ft of torque, with four-wheel drive. The model should accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 155 mph.
