The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to use the Super Bowl XLVII next year in order to advertise the brand new CLA four-door coupe.
Mercedes-Benz will take advantage of more than 100 million viewers who will get a first look at the new CLA on TV during the commercial break in the Super Bowl XLVII next year. The car manufacturer is planning to sell the CLA four-door coupe in the United States with the “help” of supermodel Kate Upton.
“This is a great opportunity to use this new product coming to market in 2013 as that ‘Wow, I didn’t realize that about Mercedes-Benz.’ That’s the kind of wake-up call opportunity — with a mass audience — that we’re going, we hope, to use the Super Bowl to communicate”, said the Mercedes-Benz USA CEO, Steve Cannon.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA will ride on the MFA platform, the same one adopted by the new generation of the B-Class and the A-Class, but the CLA will be wider than the new A-Class. The most expected version of the CLA will be the CLA45 AMG, which will get a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood, which is good for 350 HP. The CLA45 AMG will make its public debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
