Mercedes-Benz CLA will debut in Detroit
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce the all-new CLA at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
After it was unveiled as a concept earlier this year, the Mercedes-Benz CLA will be officially presented to the public in its final production form during the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, early next year. The model will be an entry-level sedan which will go against the four-door versions of the BMW 1-Series and Audi A3. The Mercedes-Benz CLA will be inspired by the CLS and it will get a sloping roof line which will make the model look like a four-door coupe.
The petrol engine lineup in the Mercedes-Benz CLA is expected to include the CLA 180, with its 115 HP (85 kW), the CLA 200 with 156 HP (115 kW) and the CLA 250, with its 211 HP (155 kW). Diesel lovers will be able to order the CLA 180 CDI with 109 HP (80 kW), the CLA 200 CDI with 136 HP (100 kW) and the CLA 220 CDI with 170 HP (125 kW). The CLA 45 AMG will use the same engine as the A45 AMG. Additional details on the final production version of the CLA will be announced on the 14th of January, in Detroit.
