The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to unveil the CLA45 AMG during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
The final production version of the CLA45 AMG is getting closer and closer to its future customers, with the future rival for the BMW M135i Sedan going to the Frankfurt Motor Show. According to the car manufacturer, the CLA45 AMG will be officially presented to the public during the German automotive event, which will open its gates in September, next year. The “baby CLS” will get the same sloping roof line as its larger brother and it will basically be a four-door coupe.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG will ride on the same flexible platform for the new A-Class and B-Class and the model will be powered by the same engine found in the brand new A45 AMG, the 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is developing a total output of 354 HP and 450 Nm of torque. In the A45 AMG, the unit is mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission, similar to the one used on the SLS AMG. Additional details on the CLA45 AMG are limited for the moment and will be announced in Frankfurt.
