Mercedes-Benz has officially pulled the wraps off the brand new Concept GLC Coupe ahead of its public debut which will be taking place at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Mercedes-Benz has put a stop to rumors and reports on the new Concept GLC Coupe as the company has officially introduced it, over the web at the moment, ahead of its public debut which will be made at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. The model is said to be in near-production form and it is basically the answer to the BMW X4 and to the Porsche Macan. This will be based on the second generation of the GLK, which will be renamed the GLC, and it will be following the same path as the BMW X4 and the X3.
The new concept car stands at 4.73 meters in length and it has a 2.83 meters wheelbase riding on large 21-inch alloy wheels. It is also getting the matte gun metal plastic body cladding, the solar beam paint, full LED headlights, a sloping roofline, recessed door handles, stacked quad stainless steel pipes, LED taillights and several other goodies. Mercedes-Benz has equipped the new Concept GLC Coupe with a 3.0 liter V6 bi-turbo engine, which is capable of putting down a total of 367 HP (270 kW) at 5,500 rpm and it has a peak torque of 520 Nm (384 lb-ft), available between 1,400 rpm and 4,000 rpm. The unit is sending power to the 4MATIC AWD system through a 9-speed automatic transmission.
