Mercedes AMG boss Ola Kallenius has confirmed the new GLA45 AMG for next year, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
After officially pulling the wraps off the new GLA-Class in Frankfurt, the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has announced, through the voice of AMG boss Ola Kallenius, the development of the GLA45 AMG. According to the company’s official, the new GLA45 AMG will get the same treatment as the CLA45 AMG and the A45 AMG and the model should make its way onto the market sometimes next year.
“For the five years here it’s eight new models without the predecessor, one of which you can see the series version as a world premiere here today in Frankfurt. It’s no great secret that we’re going to give that the same treatment as we gave the A45 AMG”, said Ola Kallenius at a round-table interview in Frankfurt.
The new Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG will use the same 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is also used on the new A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG. The unit will produce a total output of 355 HP and 450 Nm of torque. Other modifications will probably include the updated suspension, steering and brakes and the AMG body kit, which will help it stand out from a crowd, along with the AMG wheels and badges.
