Mercedes-Benz has released some new details on the engine lineup which is powering the new generation of the C-Class.
Just a few weeks after making its online debut, the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the car company releasing some new details on the engine lineup which is available for the popular model. According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is getting a 2.1 liter turbo diesel unit with 168 HP in the C220 BlueTEC, while the C180 is powered by a 1.6 liter petrol unit, producing a total output of 154 HP.
The Mercedes-Benz C200 will become available with a 2.0 liter petrol burner, which is currently producing 181 HP, while the C250 will get a 2.0 liter petrol engine, with 208 HP and 258 lb-ft of torque. There is also a C250 BlueTEC, with a 2.1L turbo diesel producing 201 HP and 369 lb-ft of torque, while later on this year the C300 BlueTEC hybrid with a 2.1L turbo diesel and 201 HP, backed up by a 28 HP and 184 lb-ft of torque electric motor. The C63 AMG will get a 4.0L twin turbo with between 454 HP and 493 HP.
