The engine lineup of the new generation of the C-Class has been recently detailed by the German based automaker Mercedes-Benz.
Following its unveil just a few weeks ago, the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is ending up in our news once again, this time with its engine lineup being fully detailed. The petrol burners will include the 1.6L with 156 HP (115 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, burning 5L/100km in the C180, the 2.0L with 183 HP (135 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft), burning 6.4L/100km in the C200, the C200 4MATIC, having the same specifications as the regular C200, the C300, with its 238 HP (175 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque, from a 2.0L unit, burning 6.3L/100km, the C350 HYBRID Plug-in, with a 2.0L 211 HP (155 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) unit and a 50 kW electric motor, returning 3L/100km and the C400 4MATIC, with a 3.0L 6-cylinder unit, generating 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque, returning 7.8L/100km.
The diesel engines are the C180 BlueTEC 1.6L 116 HP (85 kW) and 250 Nm of torque (184 lb-ft), burning 3.8L/100 km, the C200 BlueTEC with a 1.6L generating 136 HP (100 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft), 3.8L/100km, the 2.2L in the C220 BlueTEC, with 170 HP (125 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft), 4.0L/100km, the C250 BlueTEC with 2.2L 204 HP (150 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft), 4.4L/100km, the C250 BlueTEC 4MATIC, with the same specifications as the regular C250 BlueTEC, except for the fuel consumption standing at 4.9L/100km, and the C300 BlueTEC HYBRID, getting a 204 HP (150 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) 2.2L unit and a 20 kW electric motor, returning 3.8L/100km.
