Those of you who are looking to add a Mercedes-Benz E-Class to their garages this year, and who are also living in the United Kingdom, will be glad to find out that the lineup has been modified and it is basically gaining more power and a new transmission. According to the car manufacturer, the Mercedes-Benz E 350 BlueTEC is now coming with an extra 6 HP (4 kW), to a total of 258 HP (192 kW). The unit has been connected to the brand new 9G-Tronic transmission.
The company says that thanks to these changes, the CO2 emissions have been dropped by 17 g/km. The E 220 BlueTEC has been also modified and this is also coming with more power, an additional 7 HP (5 kW), which is bringing the total output to 177 HP (132 kW). The unit is connected to a 7G-Tronic transmission. The CO2 emissions in this version have been dropped by 16 g/km. Besides these modifications, the E 400 AMG Sport will now be named the E 400 AMG Line and the Collision Prevention Assist Plus will be offered as standard on all E-Class vehicles.
