The German automaker finally decided to let the cat out of the bag during the 2016 North American International Auto Show when it officially presented the all-new E Class (W213) executive sedan.
After countless teasers, spy shots, spy footage and after seeing the model in all its glory in a leaked gallery (the interior was already known as the company outed an official picture roster and info) the world premiere of the new generation E Class took place in Detroit. Now the entire fan base and rumor mill has decided to focus on the next model in the range – the estate version, T Modell. We already saw this one too – wearing a little more camo than Mercedes decided to sport on the sedan and now we have a render depiction of the model made by regular X-Tomi Design which looks rather spot on. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz E Class Estate (T Modell in Europe) is still being prototyped, tested and developed by the engineers but that doesn’t mean the model couldn’t come up looking exactly like this render.
As per usual, the front end of the station wagon will be shared with the regular sedan and we’re only looking at design and hardware modifications from the rear doors backwards. So, we would get treated to a different roofline, maybe to larger rear doors as hinted in this render and to a more practical tailgate. By the way, after the estate introduction comes and goes, we’re still going to look forward to the reveal of the coupe and roadster versions.
