The Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG has been officially revealed by the German based automaker and the powerful model will be launched in Europe in November and in the United States next year.
The first official details and photos with the all-new Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG have been finally released and this is actually a historic moment in the company’s lineup, because this is the first time ever when the GL-Class gets an AMG-induced version. According to the car manufacturer, the all-new GL63 AMG will arrive over-seas in the first quarter of 2013, while the model will make its way into European dealers this November.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz GL63 AMG is powered by the 5.5 liter bi turbo engine, which is developing a total output of 550 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 760 Nm (560 lb-ft), which are being sent to the permanent all-wheel drive system through the AMG Speedshift seven-speed automatic transmission. The GL63 AMG can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. As you can see from the images posted below, the GL63 AMG is distinguished by the larger air intakes from the front fascia and the quad exhaust at the rear. More details about the SUV will be announced later on this year.
