The first patent photos showing the entry-level version of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 CDI have recently hit the web.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA has been officially presented to the public just a few months ago and now the model is entering our news once again, this time with the help of some leaked patent photos, which are showing its brand new entry-level version. The model in question will be named the Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 CDI and it will receive some upgrades and a 1.5 liter engine under its hood, which is basically the dCi produced by Renault and found in a lot of models like the Clio, the Logan, the Sandero, the Duster, the Juke and so on.
The new engine to make its way onto the brand new Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 CDI has a 1.5 liter displacement and it can produce a total output of 109 HP (81 kW). We have no clue on what the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint will take in the new German crossover or what its top speed will be when equipped with this unit but we know that the fuel consumption should stand at approximately 4 liters / 100 km (70.6 mpg UK / 58.8 mpg US). The Mercedes-Benz GLA 180 CDI will go on sale in the first quarter of 2014.
