The Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG has made its public debut in Detroit right after its official unveil which took place just a few weeks ago.
Mercedes-Benz is placing the new GLA 45 AMG into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), in Detroit, where the model in question has been shown to the public. The GLA 45 AMG is getting a beefed up body kit, larger alloy wheels, a quad exhaust setup, muscular side skirts, aggressive bumpers, large vents and much more, which will help it stand out from a crowd.
As far as the engine goes, the small crossover is getting the same 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder Euro 6 compliant from the A45 AMG and CLA45 AMG. The unit is good for 360 HP (265 kW) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft) of torque. Power is being sent to the 4MATIC all-wheel drive system through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 4.8 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The GLA 45 AMG can also be ordered with carbon fiber parts, red brake calipers, different upholstery, performance seats and much more.
