A Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG has been recently caught testing on the Old Continent, where the model is getting ready to be launched.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to develop a crossover version of the brand new A45 AMG, which is expected to make its way onto the market in Europe soon. But until the model will arrive in the company’s showrooms, it will be severely tested. The images posted below are showing the Mercedes-Benz GLA 45 AMG being tested on the Nurburgring. The compact crossover will be a direct rival for models like the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3.
Not much is being known about the GLA 45 AMG for the moment but the model is expected to pack the same 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under its hood as the A45 AMG or the CLA45 AMG. The unit is producing a total output of 360 HP (265 kW) at 6,000 rpm in the hot hatch, and 450 Nm of torque (332 lb-ft), available between 2,250 and 5,000 rpm. The unit is mated to an AMG Speed Shift DCT seven-speed sports transmission, which is sending power to the all-wheel drive system.
