The Mercedes-Benz GLC has been recently caught on camera by our spy photographers while it was being tested out on public roads.
Mercedes-Benz will be renaming the GLK for its new generation and this will be known in the future as the GLC, so capturing the model in question on camera couldn’t remain unknown. The brand new Mercedes-Benz GLC will continue to be a rival for models such as the BMW X3 and for the Audi Q5, while its smaller brother, the GLA, will be offered as a rival for the Q3 and for the X1.
Behind its heavy camouflage, the GLC will get a familiar design which will make it instantly recognizable as a Mercedes-Benz and we can see that the model seems to get a much sportier appearance as the roof is more steeply sloped towards the rear, indicating a coupe-like profile and meaning that it could also become a rival for the Porsche Macan or for the BMW X4. As far as the engine lineup goes, some of the current units will be updated and carried over and an AMG version is also believed to be adopted. The new GLC should be introduced in 2015 as a 2016 model year.
