And ready to tackle its main rival, the BMW X4.
There is no surprise at this point that Mercedes-Benz is currently working on a coupe version of the recently unveiled GLC because such a model has been caught on camera numerous times over the past few months while it has been tested out. The two images posted below are probably offering us with the best look into the vehicle but don’t expect the real deal however because they are nothing more than simple renderings, signed by RMCarDesign, at this point. Notice the slightly updated front and rear fascias and, of course, the sloping roofline, which is placing it in the same segment, along with its size, as the BMW X4.
The GLC is the successor of the old GLK and this is coming with a completely new design, which is making it instantly recognizable. The model will be offered in two body styles, the GLC and the GLC Coupe, rivaling the X3 and the X4 from BMW, amongst others, and it is expected to get the entire engine lineup from the GLC under its hood. Rumor has it that the model in question will also gain a range-topping version, the GLC 63 AMG Coupe, which is expected to be making use of the 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine from the C63 AMG and from the AMG GT sports car. Additional details on the new GLC Coupe are limited at this point and will be announced at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, this September, when it is expected to be unveiled.
