Mercedes-Benz will be officially pulling the wraps off the brand new GLC Coupe during the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, in a few weeks.
The development of the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is no longer a surprise as the model in question has been spied and officially confirmed. This will be targeting models such as the Porsche Macan and the BMW X4 and it will be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Shanghai Motor Show, on the 22nd of April. The image posted above is a sketch released by the carmaker which is offering a preview of the brand new mid-size sport coupe crossover and we can notice its familiar design in the front fascia and its signature, the sloping roofline.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is said to transform the GLE Coupe into a smaller format. The model is based on the same platform as the new C-Class generation and will get the wide grille design with the large centrally positioned Mercedes-Benz badge. The interior design will be similar to the one offered in its regular version, the GLC, which is nothing more than a new generation of the GLK, receiving a different name. As far as the engine lineup goes, the GLC Coupe is also expected to share the units from the regular GCL and this will include a selection of petrol and diesel units. Chances are the model will also get a plug-in hybrid version. More details on the new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe are limited at this time and will be announced in Shanghai.
