A new sketch with the Mercedes-Benz GLC has been released as the model will be officially unveiled in a couple of days.
Mercedes-Benz is planning on releasing the brand new GLC on the 17th of June. There is no surprise in the development of the model as it has been caught on camera numerous times by spy photographers over the last few months. The vehicle in question will be nothing more than a successor for the current GLK and it will be going up against rivals such as the BMW X3 and the Audi Q5. The new GLC generation will be closer in design to its larger brother, the new GLE, and it will slightly grow in size, compared to the current GLK, in order to make room for the compact GLA.
The image posted above is revealing a new look for the mid-size crossover which will be coming with “goodies” such as the Air Body Control air suspension, unique to the segment, and the Dynamic Select or the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system. The brand new GLC will be riding on the same platform as the new C-Class generation and the interior design will also be inspired by the one of the mid-size sedan. Chances are the engine lineup will be carried over from the same model, but this still remains to be confirmed. Rumor has it that the public debut of the new GLC will be made this September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, but Mercedes-Benz hasn’t announced it at this time.
