Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe caught in production guise image

Courtesy of the Mercedes-Benz Passion Blog we now have what could be the first photographs of the new GLE Coupe model, caught in photographs that depict the model’s production guise.

Numerous apparitions of the BMW X6 competitor show us that the third largest premium automaker in the world is getting ready to unleash the GLE Coupe into dealerships and following the video workaround that we brought you recently we have some accompanying photos of what essentially seems to be the same trim – there are numerous chrome additions to the front of the car and also we can notice the same alloy rims. The model is based on the MB GLE (what was until recently the M-Class) and is scheduled to make its first official public appearance during the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit in January.

The GLE Coupe is going to be launched with a full compliment of engines, ranging from a GLE 350 d 4MATIC that offers 258 PS (190 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque of diesel power to a GLE 400 4MATIC that relies on a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine coming with 333 PS (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque. The top offering will be the GLE 450 AMG with a more powerful version of the twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 that churns out 367 PS (270 kW) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque.
