The first teaser image with the upcoming Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe has been released recently.
After announcing its plans to introduce the AMG Sport range in a couple of months, in order to compete against the M Performance models from BMW and the S-Line from Audi, the German based automaker has also released the first teaser image with the upcoming GLE Coupe. The model in question will be one of the first two vehicles to be offered in the AMG Sport range, along with the C450 AMG Sport, once the company will be announcing more on it at NAIAS, next January.
The brand new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe has been based on the M-Class, which will be called the GLE itself after the upcoming facelift. The model in question will be going up against the BMW X6 and it will come with a similar engine lineup as the revised version of the GLE / M-Class. This will also include the AMG Sport version, which will be slotting between the GLE 400, with its new 329 HP 3.0L petrol twin turbo V6, and the GLE 63 AMG, with 570 HP 5.5 liter twin turbo V8. The GLE Coupe will be introduced at the same Detroit Motor Show.
