The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is currently testing out a facelifted version of the GL, which will be known as the GLS.
The Mercedes-Benz GL is getting ready to receive an updated version sometimes next year and once this will happen, the model will also be known as the GLS. Our spy photographers have managed to capture it on camera while it was being tested out on public roads. The test mule was wearing some minimal camouflage on its body which is covering the front fascia and part of the rear end.
The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLS will be coming with slightly updated headlights, with a new front grille, a new front bumper, a new hood, a new rear bumper and different taillights, which should be enough to put some space between it and the current version. Some modifications are expected to be made in the cabin too. As far as the engine lineup goes, the GLS350, the GLS450, the GLS 550 and the GLS63 AMG will be carried over on the facelifted version of the model and these will be joined by the GLS500, with a 3.-L twin turbo V6 producing 333 HP. The “new” GLS will be introduced in January, in Detroit.
