Mercedes-Benz IAA Concept teased for Frankfurt image

With an obvious name and aimed towards the largest automotive event of the end of this year, the Mercedes-Benz IAA Concept is being teased once more.

The newest model to be signed by the 3-pointed star is wearing the IAA name and it is nothing more than a simple concept car at this point. The German based automaker has released a teaser image with it and it is revealing a muscular profile and a four-door coupe body style so this is actually leaving us wondering what it may be.

Chances are we may be looking at the next generation of the Mercedes-Benz CLS and, since it is nothing more than a concept car, its final design will most likely be different and, if we didn’t know how the carmaker works, we would say that this will be a European muscle car, aimed towards the new Mustang and Camaro. Chances of it being such a vehicle are extremely low to zero so the CLS, in its next generation, sounds more reliable.

Mercedes-Benz is explaining that the new one-off vehicle teased above has a drag coefficient of 0.19 and that its name is standing for Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile. Unfortunately no technical details have been released on it so far and we have no clue on what exactly this is and what it will become, but we don’t rule out the possibility of it being nothing more than a “simple play” put together by the designers. The model will be unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, in just a few hours.
