The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the new generation of the A-Class in Romania.
The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz A-Class, which is expected to take on the hot hatches in the segment with its AMG version, has a Renault engine under its hood, and this is actually the first time when we can find a French unit under the hood of a Mercedes-Benz. We’re talking about the 1.5 liter dCi diesel which can be found on the new A180 CDI BE, producing a total output of 109 HP and burning just 3.4 liters of fuel every 100 km.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class is getting an engine lineup ranging between 109 HP and 211 HP and one of the most expected versions of the new generation is the one developed by AMG, which will be known as the A45 AMG. The Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been priced from just under 24,000 euros on the Old Continent and the model has arrived in showrooms across Europe this autumn. Mercedes-Benz says that the 2013 A-Class is being produced in Hungary and Germany.
