The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is apparently planning to develop new versions of its future C-Class generation, like a Sportcoupe or a Cabrio.
Mercedes-Benz will officially pull the wraps off the new C-Class generation in a few months, during the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, and it seems that the company will not only offer the “classic” four-door sedan body style of the model but it will develop a Sportcoupe and a Cabrio version too. The new C-Class Sportcoupe should have the same wheelbase length as the Chinese market C-Class sedan, so the rear-seat legroom will be improved compared to the standard vehicle.
The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sportcoupe should become an alternative to the BMW 3-Series GT and to the Audi A5 Sportback. Besides the C-Class Sportcoupe, a new body style of the model will become available too. This will be the C-Class Cabrio and it will rival the BMW 4-Serie Convertible and the Audi A5 Cabriolet. The top of the line C-Class variant will definitely be the much awaited C63 AMG, which will take its power form a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine. Additional details on the future C-Class generation remain unknown for the moment.
