The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce a long wheelbase version of the CLA in China.
China is one huge auto market for Mercedes-Benz and after showing us the LWB E-Class facelift during the 2013 Shanghai Motor Show, a couple of weeks ago, time has come for the German based automaker to develop yet another long wheelbase vehicle, this time based on the CLA. Mercedes-Benz didn’t announce its plans just yet to unveil the CLA LWB in China, but according to the guys at Auto Motor und Sport, such a model is imminent. The model should make its way onto the Chinese auto market sometimes in 2015, and it will eventually be sold in other regions too.
As a quick reminder, the Mercedes-Benz CLA is 56.6 inches tall, 182.3 inches long and 80.0 inches wide. The model is riding on the MFA platform and it was influenced by the new A-Class generation. The Mercedes-Benz CLA is coming with the Multimedia package with the COMMAND infotainment system and GPS navigation or the Premium package which is adding a Harman / Kardon audio system, black trim, silver accents, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and much more. The model has been unveiled during the 2013 NAIAS in Detroit.
