The German automaker, currently the third biggest luxury carmaker in the world, has recently announced the prices for the UK-bound Vito Sport, with the maker also opening the order books.
We’re not really going to support the automaker’s call for badging the Vito as a Sport model, but the carmaker has already used it as far back as 2009 and now the moniker is making a comeback for the new generation. The Vito Sport in the United Kingdom is available in panel van and crew van body styles, with a choice for the compact or longer wheelbase and comes mated to the 116 BlueTEC and 119 BlueTEC powerplants. The Vito Sport will be distinguishable thanks to the chrome trim on the sidebars, front grille or the front fog lamp surrounds and the five-spoke alloy wheels have been offered specifically to this model. Customers will also get bespoke body-colored front and rear bumpers, badging in the rear, more chrome trim for the tailgate and privacy windows.
The interior has not yet been showcased, but the UK unit of Mercedes-Benz says the Vito Sport comes nicely fitted with comfort driver and single passenger seats, an air conditioning system, Sport-embroidery for the floor mats and also the Audio 15 infotainment system that uses a color screen and can optionally be fitted with the plug-in Becker MapPilot navigation system. Orders are now open and the Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport starts at 25,495 pounds when choosing the 116 BlueTEC Compact Sport Van and can go up to £27,860 when selecting the 119 BlueTEC Long Sport Van. The Crew van starts at 27,625 with the entry level 116 BlueTEC Compact and can set you back as much as £29,990 if the 119 BlueTEC Long is selected.
