Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio official render released image

A teaser image previewing the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio has been recently released by the German based automaker.

The final body style of the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class generation, the S-Class Cabrio, is just around the corner as the car manufacturer has officially announced its debut for the 2015th edition of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The image posted above is an official rendering which is giving us a glimpse in the upcoming luxury cruiser’s design which will be coming with an electrically retractable folding fabric roof with the multi-layer configuration and a large glass rear window. The roof has been designed in order to mimic the looks of its solid roof brother, the S-Class Coupe, but the rear end of the car will be longer and it will get a different shape in order to store the folded roof.

In terms of design, the upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio will be identical to the S-Class Coupe. The interior will be carried over and so will the engine lineup. Expect the S500 AMG Line, along with the S63 AMG and S65 AMG, taking their power from a 5.5 liter V8 engine, producing 577 HP in the S63 AMG, and from a 6.0 liter twin turbo V12 engine, rated at 621 HP and 1,000 Nm of torque. Additional details on the brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabrio are limited at this time and will be announced during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, when it will be officially unveiled. Meanwhile, you can take a closer look at it in the image posted above.
