The upcoming Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe AMG has been recently spied on the road while it was being tested.
The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz isn’t taking anyone by surprise anymore with the development of the new S-Class Coupe, or with its high performance AMG version, as the model has been already confirmed for production and spied numerous times while it was being tested. The latest spy photos are showing the high performance S-Class AMG version on a public road, wrapped in camouflage, while it was being tested by the carmaker, so if you were hoping to see the model naked, you will be disappointed.
The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe AMG is believed to get a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, developed by AMG, which should produce a total output of 585 HP in the S63 AMG Coupe, 8 HP more than what the unit is getting the regular four-door sedan. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint should take approximately 4 seconds in this version. The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe has been already previewed by a concept car, wearing the same name, which was unveiled back in September, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. More details on the production variant are limited for moment.
