Steve Cannon, the Mercedes-Benz USA president, has recently tweeted two images with the brand new S-Class Coupe and 2014 GLA, with the models being tested in Death Valley.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA and the new S-Class Coupe aren’t a surprise anymore for anyone constantly reading the automotive media but the two models have been recently placed into the spotlights, in an official way, with the help of two pictures. The images posted below have been tweeted by the carmaker’s U.S. president, Steve Cannon, and they are showing the new S-Class Coupe, and the 2014 GLA, being tested in Death Valley.
The Mercedes-Benz official didn’t say much about the new S-Class Coupe, except for the fact that “It’s amazing!”. The model in question will get engine options such as the 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm of torque (354 lb-ft) twin-turbo 3.0L V6, the 455 HP (335 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft) 4.7L V8 and the 585 HP (436 kW) and 900 Nm of torque (664 lb-ft) 5.5L V8. The 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLA will get power options like the 1.8L diesel with 134 HP, the 2.1L diesel with 168 HP, the 1.6L petrol with 120 HP and the 2.0L petrol with 207 HP. This will be an entry-level crossover to battle the BMW X1 and the Audi Q3.
