While some like the S Class Coupe when taken to we like our luxo-barges in mint condition – with only a touch here and there to spice things up.
So, for those in a hurry that want a slightly customized ride without resorting to losing hours in the complex configurator, Mercedes has prepared the Night Edition for the S Class Coupe – and as the name implies, there is darkness “lurking”. It’s actually a pretty peaceful mod as the car comes with a nice and shiny grey matte paint on the options list and standard perks such as high-gloss black finish for the radiator grille, 20-inch AMG wheels with high-sheen rim flange, side mirror caps and the inserts in the side sill panels. A dynamic touch is brought over by the front and rear aprons from AMG. “Night Edition” badges adorn the front wings and there’s also the “selenite grey magno” paint with special pigments for extra effect.
There are no pics with the inside of the Night Edition S Class Coupe, but the company said it has engraved the special series name on the AMG steering wheel clad in nappa leather. There are illuminated “Mercedes-Benz” lettering door sills and for the upholstery there’s a choice of leather, nappa leather or AMG nappa leather. The bespoke edition will premiere in January at NAIAS in Detroit, and become available in Europe and America on the S400 4Matic, S500, and S500 4Matic.
