Dictators and drug lords from all over the world, your future ride is here and it is named the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard.
The model in question is basically the armored version of the new generation S-Class and it has been created for the highest ballistic protection in resistance class VR9. The luxury cruiser has received some specially created components which have been made from a special type of steel which is built into the cavities between the outer skin and the body structure. For more protection, the model is also coming with polyethylene and special aramide components, which are heat-resistant synthetic fibers.
Mercedes-Benz says that all glass areas of the new S600 Guard have been coated with polycarbonate on the inside and they are also getting a laminated structure. The other specific equipment includes the opaque roller blinds, the panic alarm system, the hydraulic side windows, the emergency fresh air system, the special rear cooling compartment, the gimbal rear LED reading lamps, the heated windscreen and side windows and several other tweaks to make you really want it.
The best part is found under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard, where we can see the 6.0 liter V12 twin turbo engine, which is producing a total output of 530 HP (390 kW) and it has a peak torque of 830 Nm (612 lb-ft), the same as in the regular version of the S600. No pricing details have been announced yet but this will sure be one expensive ride.
